Let it be made very clear that my medical and evidence-based approach to massage will not be changing.  While I happily offer a simple and basic "clearing and balancing" add-on to my massage menu, full Reiki, Recall and Reconnection appointments will need to be made separately, though you are welcome to book them back to back.  

I had the blessing of growing up with access to some truly amazing outdoor spaces and closeness to animals, wild and domestic.  My experiences were so matter-of-fact and normal, I've always been aware of our connectedness to place and animal energy or "medicine."  I have also known that the times I thrive are the times I allow myself to experience that awareness fully and consistently.

I am called to share my personal tools and the teachings of the ecclectic array of mentors I've had over the years to Recall the Nature of your Self and your Connection to Nature.

Rei "universal" ki "life energy, is an energetic healing modality most can relate to the "laying on of hands," though no touch is necessary.   Reiki practitioners do not use their own energy in treatment, as part of their initiation is to receive "attunements," basically turning them into a channel for the Reiki into your energetic body, facilitating your self-healing.  This makes transference almost impossible, leading to Reiki being thought of as the "safest" energy work.  I received my Levels 1-3 and Master training and attunements in Usui Reiki in 2004-2006.  I have since had bonus "Tune up" attunements and training in Elemental Reiki.

Over the years, I've blended multiple energetic styles and become more intuitive and less traditional/ritualistic.  

Recalling Your Self must come before the Nature Reconnection and each is a 3 or 6 session series.  An interview session must be had before a series is started.

Recalling Your Self can be performed in my office or possibly in your home, but preferably outside somewhere private.  You'll learn to feel your own energy, get comfortable playing, then learn tricks for clearing and aligning yourself, strengthening your boundaries, and feeling others' energies, with a focus on protecting against transference and mirroring.

Nature Reconnection will be an outdoor experience.  Somewhere safe and without interruption.  It begins with expanding your understanding of yourself into accepting your Nature as an animal, which will take some shadow work for many.  Once you can accept that you are a part of the whole, experiencing yourself as Whole follows easily.

Awareness of the Unseen in these exercises is attained through meditation and breathwork.  No use of substances is required or encouraged.

I've filled my pockets and shelves with pretty rocks since childhood.  Happily, instead of growing out of that, it is a shared family passion.  We brave the deeps and wilds to bring back that which calls to us.  We dig no holes, we leave no trace, following the elk through all of OR

Agate and jasper, common opal and onyx; Joe Maddox has an eye and a patient hand for finding and bringing out the beauty in a stone.  He hand-polishes stones that wouldn't survive a machine or tumbler, creating the most intriguing landscapes and elegantly delicate gemstone pendants.  Then he weaves a bezel out of pure copper or sterling silver, making a beautiful double-sided jewel.

Amulets, heirlooms, trinkets- All are consciously and ethically harvested, hand-picked, sculpted with vision.

Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!  I'm delighted that our family micro-farm has exceeded our hopes and I can carry surplus jellies in my office!
