Certifiably Serene Massage

Every Massage is a Treat

OBMT #11577

With every massage, I strive to work towards meeting your goals in the most comfortable way. I use heat therapy and aromatherapy so please notify me of any sensitivities or distastes you may have for any particular aromas when booking your appointment, as well as any specific requests or conditions you may have. If you are pregnant, please tell me how far along you are so I can have my space arranged to best suit your needs.

Swedish Massage

Swedish relaxation massage, the most common form of massage therapy in the United States and is generally the modality or technique that comes to mind when you think about massage. Designed to relieve tension and increase circulation, a full body Swedish massage will help ease the stress of everyday life and leave you feeling wonderfully relaxed.

Prenatal Massage

Our prenatal massage is designed to relieve the physical discomforts of pregnancy, such as back pain, leg cramps, and swollen ankles. Your therapist will use gentle techniques that are safe for both mom and baby.

Hot Stone Massage

A hot stone massage is perfect for those who need to unwind and relax. Smooth, heated stones are used as an extension of my hands, or placed on the body. The deep penetrating heat helps you relax more fully and sink more deeply into the stress relieving effects of the massage.

Remedial (Deep Tissue) Massage

Remedial or Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the deeper supportive muscles and connective tissue. Your therapist will use slow strokes and deep finger, palm, forearm, or elbow pressure on the affected areas to alleviate pain and stiffness.  I differentiate between Remedial and Deep Tissue because, while both address the same layers of tissue, remedial can be thought of as "firm" while Deep tissue is typically expected to be "hard."

Trigger Point Therapy

Active trigger points often radiate pain to another area of the body ("referred" pain) when compressed. The goal of trigger point therapy is to alleviate this pain by releasing contracted muscles. Helps to reduce pain, improve circulation and range of motion, and relieve tension..

Oncology Massage

The benefits of massage - improved relaxation, sleep, and immune function, and the relief of anxiety and pain - are especially useful when fighting cancer. Oncology massage is designed to meet the individual wherever they are in their treatment, and offer a tailored massage treatment to help relax, comfort, and support them in their process.

Medical Massage

Also known as clinical massage, medical massage is targeted at treating a specific problem or area of the body, with the goal of alleviating pain by treating the root of the problem. I am a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner and have experience with numerous injuries, acute and chronic, but I find I am most proficient and passionate in neck treatment.
